Stacy Mae Photography Launch Party – Day Two

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Stacy Mae Launch Party! Did you leave a comment on yesterday’s blog post? No worries. There’s still time. You’ll have the next few days to catch up if you miss a post.

Today I want to focus on social media. There are a few different ways that you can connect with me online.

Facebook – Here I post client sneak peeks as well as photography related articles or things I think my audience might enjoy. Yesterday, I shared a cute animated short about photographers.

Instagram – Definitely my favorite. Here I also share sneak peeks, but it’s more personal than my FB page. Most of the images you’ll see are of my 2 girls and my new Pitbull pup.

Pinterest – This is a great tool for me to communicate with clients about session ideas and wardrobe. I recently organized my page so that the boards are easy to navigate and understand. I love to pin images from photographers that I admire as well as personal stuff like craft projects for the kids, recipes, home decor, and adorable pets. Because you can never see enough pictures of cute puppies and kittens, right?

Twitter – Until recently I never actually used Twitter. I am usually sharing images so I didn’t think that Twitter was the place for me, but I’m slowly warming up to it. Right now you’ll see a lot of shares from FB and Instagram, but I’ll be linking to blog posts and other items soon too.

*One quick note, there’s been a lot of negative stuff going around in the photography world lately – photographers bashing other photographers, bullying, rude comments, etc. Stuff like this WILL NOT be tolerated on any of my social media accounts. If I see something it will be deleted immediately. Take it back to Kindergarten – If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Save the drama for your  mama!

And last, but not least, my mailing list. This is where it’s at if you want to stay up to date with what’s going on at SMP. Right now, I’m sending out emails inconsistently, but that is going to change beginning in May. I’ll be sending out a monthly newsletter where you’ll see what you’ve missed on the blog, what’s coming up in terms of session availability, mini sessions, events, and more. When I host mini sessions, newsletter subscribers will be the first to know. They’ll also get access to exclusive content. Which brings me to today’s giveaways!!
