A new year brings the opportunity for a fresh start. We set goals and resolutions to hold us accountable, but what about the plan? How do you plan to give yourself a fresh start? Start small! Let’s talk about organization, more importantly camera organization.
Organizing the little things leads to productivity and a clean mindset. It’s after the holidays, and I bet you have one too many pictures in your camera roll. Whether it’s screenshots of gift ideas, repeat pictures of family photos, or maybe you documented your cute outfits with 100 selfies! We can all hit a good reset on our camera album.
So here are my top tips to keep your camera roll clean after the holidays…
BACK UP EVERYTHING
It’s hard to let go of some pictures, even if you know you’ll probably never look at them. Your storage will fill up one day and then what are you going to do? I love Google Photos. It not only stores a lot of photos, but it also categorizes pictures, you can search dates/places, add tags and share with family members. Ever better, if something happens to our phone, we can feel safe with the fact that our photos are backed-up.
CREATE ALBUMS
Super easy to do and so helpful when it comes time to find a photo to print. By categorizing your photos into albums, you won’t have to dig through a bunch of memories to find that ONE picture you can’t quite remember where or when it was taken. Your kids can’t enjoy photos of their childhood if they’re tucked away on your phone.
SET UP A ROUTINE
This is important! Pick a date – once a week or once a month. Spend a few minutes going through your camera roll. This is a more productive way to keep up with your camera roll organization versus deleting photos when you get a “storage full” notification!
Now is as good a time as any to get started this year by creating a good habit of keeping your camera roll feeling clean.
