Today I am so excited to bring you Laura of Laura Winslow Photography. This woman never ceases to amaze me. From her bright and colorful perfectly styled sessions to her spot on business advice, she’s one of the smartest and most creative women I know! I met Laura after she posted about doing traveling mini sessions in NYC (she’s from Arizona). I knew I had to book her! Wouldn’t you know that the day of the session, my youngest ended up with strep throat and it was a super chilly spring day. I still had an amazing time!As a new photographer, I was obsessed with following and studying other people’s work and Laura was one of my faves. It was like meeting a rock star to me and she was so sweet and real. With so much negativity going on in the photography world, it was refreshing to know that there are people out there who are supportive and kind. The next time I saw Laura was at the very first workshop I attended, the Chic Retreat, in Seattle. I learned so much from her that day, but the thing that stuck with me was her down to earth personality.

I connected with Laura again online when I booked one of her One-on-One Mentoring sessions. If you are in a creative business and you are looking for tips to make blogging faster and easier or want to gain confidence in yourself and your business, you need to sign up for this!!

Ok so to the questions! True to form, Laura was so much fun to interview. Thanks so much for playing along!

Baseball-LOVE IT. Although I feel like it’s soooo slow at times, it reminds me of being with my dad, who is a HUGE baseball fan. One of my favorite games ever was when I went with him to a D-Rays v. Red Sox game and there were players and coaches storming the mound, fighting and getting ejected left and right. It’s not that I advocate fighting, but it sure made for an exciting game!

Glitter-LOVE IT! Just this weekend, my son, Jack, was trying to get a piece of glitter off of his sister’s face for her and I yelled “Oh no! Keep it on there! Glitter belongs on a girl’s face!” One can never have too much glitter, and we all know that stuff follows you everywhere once you use it once anyway.

Blur-as long as it’s done naturally in-camera, LOVE IT! There’s nothing like a little dreamy bokeh and backlight to add to an image.

Silhouettes-LEAVE IT

Bike rides-LOVE IT

Water balloons-LOVE IT! Water balloons rock my world. Why has no one invented an easier, faster way to fill them up yet? You spend four hours filling them up and, oh, a minute breaking them.

Camping-oh, I’m sorry, did you say glamping? Then yes, yes I’m all about it. LOVE IT! 🙂 I like camping if we actually do the sleeping part in beds, which of course you don’t.

Ice cream-is this even a question? ADORE!
