I have been talking about this a lot recently, do you want me to tell you why? Because the Holidays are HERE and as moms we are the ones that are usually taking the pictures and not including ourselves in them. And not only do our kids deserve to be able to look back on those memories and see that mom was included, BUT WE DESERVE that as well. We do SO much for our families that not including ourselves in more is a disservice to us & also our family.
I am running a photo challenge this month to show you how easy it can be to be present in the moment and be part of the memories you’re creating, You Can Join FOR FREE, HERE
Getting in pictures with your kids doesn’t have to be hard. And you don’t even have to include your face! I want to show you how!
For example…
Detail shots are some of my favorites. In the cover photo for this reel, you see Olivia and I interacting, but you don’t necessarily know we’re coloring. This photo of our hands shows what we’re doing. It tells a story!
Incorporating yourself into photos like these can really help you get more comfortable jumping into photos with your kids.
But I want you to know it doesn’t have to be hard or scary and after some practice it can become pretty natural to you!
I hope to encourage and inspire as many moms as I can to get in the frame this month with this challenge. To be present in all of the beautiful moments you share with your kiddos. And not just the special occasions with the holidays around but the everyday moments too.
Like this one with Olivia. We color at the kitchen table almost every day. I put on Disney music (her favorite is Encanto!)
I wanted to capture this moment so that one day she’ll look back at this photo and remember these times together – just the two of us – singing and laughing together. My hair is a mess and she’s still in her pj’s, but this is how we spend most of our days.
With this challenge, I’d love to show you how easy it can be to take photos with your kids. Don’t let another Christmas go by without proof that you were there – decorating gingerbread houses, baking cookies, and doing all the fun holiday things. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still plenty of time.
