5 Creative Ways to Display Images in Your Home

While I think it’s wonderful to be able to have digital images from your portrait session to treasure forever, so many of my clients confess that they never actually print their pictures! Can you imagine? Well, today I’m giving you 5 creative ways to display images in your home. No more excuses!

1. I love this arrangement from Jessica Downey. Simple and modern. It’ll work in a variety of rooms. Hallway, living room, over your desk at the office, even in a child’s room.

2. This is a great idea from one of my favorite photographers. You’ve probably heard me gush over her before, but Laura Winslow is a creative genius. I am always so jealous of people who can think outside of the box. She took some everyday food trays, painted them, layered with another tray, and then adhered a 4×6 to the center. What an awesome way to make a photo stand out!

3. I LOVE the idea of mixing pictures with quotes and inspirational sayings. Choose things that have meaning to your family.

4. Try non-traditional frames. And add some color! You don’t have to choose black, brown, or white. Especially if you are hanging pictures in a playroom or a nursery. I love this blue frame by Organic Bloom. Doesn’t it pair perfectly with that blue chair? Think about spots in your home that could use a pop of color. Search for a fun frame and choose a color that coordinates.

This last display is from Tater Tots & Jello. If you haven’t see their blog, go check it out now! So much DIY inspiration 🙂 An Instagram display! I made something similar with a cheap white frame from Walmart. I used twine cut to the width of the frame and hot glued it to the back of the frame. I ended up with 4 rows of twine. I found some really cute clothespins and printed a few of my favorite IPhone shots and clipped the pictures to the twine with the clothespins. I love it because I can change out the shots whenever I want to update the display.
