30 Days of Summer Photo Challenge

Summer is all about fun, food, and fireworks. And that’s not all. It’s my favorite time of year because there are no routines. No homework or packing lunches. We can stay up late. Eat ice cream for breakfast and bury our toes in the sand!

It’s also a great opportunity to capture the traditions and memories that make summer so special! As a family photographer my job is to capture memories for you that are genuine and candid. The images I take tell just a small part of your story though. So much of your story plays out in the everyday. Moments that seem boring or routine. I believe those moments are just as important to document as the big milestones. They can help you recognize and be thankful for the beauty that exists in your everyday.

The point of this challenge is to help you capture the memories you make this summer, but I would love to see how you can stretch your creativity too. Join me on Facebook and Instagram. I’ll be posting my images using the hashtag #smp30daysofsummer. I’ll also be posting a few tips with my photos as well to help keep you motivated.

And because I know how busy summer can be, this photo challenge does not have to be 30 consecutive days. Here’s how I think will be the best way to tackle it. Take a screen shot of the photo prompts or download them directly to your phone. This way you’ll have them handy whenever inspiration strikes. The challenge will begin July 1st and end on August 30th so you don’t have to take a picture every day.

To get started, all you have to do is …

1. Post your summer photo challenge pics on Instagram or FB and tag them #smp30daysofsummer.

2. Tag @stacymaephotography in your pictures.

That’s it! Super simple. Here are 30 photo prompts to help inspire you. You can also download them by clicking here.
